Find out ways to keep your body in shape during this Lunar holiday

Tet is a time for family reunions, delicious food, outings, and rest. However, the sudden changes in routine—eating more, sleeping later, sitting longer, and moving more—can easily cause your body to "protest" after a few days.
After Tet, clinics often see conditions such as:
How to enjoy Tet while maintaining good health?
Eat in moderation
Bánh Trưng, braised meat, and fried foods are very tempting, but eating too much can easily cause mild inflammation in the body and increase joint pain. Try to balance your diet with green vegetables, fruits, and drink enough water every day. Supplement your diet with nutrient-rich foods high in Omega 3, calcium, vitamins A/D, etc.
Don't skip exercise during Tet
Just 15-20 minutes of walking, stretching, or light exercise each day is enough to help maintain the flexibility of your spine and joints. Outdoor activities such as jogging, playing sports, swimming, etc., are encouraged.
Pay attention to your posture when sitting for long periods
Sitting for hours during gatherings or long car rides can increase pressure on your lower back. Change your posture and stand up for light exercise every 45-60 minutes.
Limit alcohol
Alcohol can increase inflammatory responses and make joints more painful, especially in people with underlying conditions. If you do drink, consider using liver detoxification supplements.
Get enough sleep for your body to recover
Lack of sleep slows down recovery and makes you more prone to fatigue. It's recommended to get 7-8 hours of sleep a day so your body can recover both mentally and physically.
Tet is for enjoyment, but health remains the most important foundation for a fulfilling start to the new year.
