Celebrating the 80 Years of the August Revolution
August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2025, marks 80 years since the victory of the August Revolution – a brilliant milestone that signaled a great turning point in the history of the Vietnamese nation! Under the leadership of the Party and President Hồ Chí Minh, the entire people rose in unity to seize power, opening a new era of independence and freedom.
On September 2, 1945, at historic Ba Đình Square, President Hồ Chí Minh solemnly declared the Independence Proclamation, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam – the first workers’ and peasants’ state in Southeast Asia.
The spirit of the August Revolution forever remains a source of strength, enabling us to overcome every challenge and build a more prosperous country.
Today, following in the footsteps of our forefathers, the young generation pledges to carry forward the revolutionary tradition and contribute to writing the next glorious chapters of our nation’s history!
